Paintings | 2020s

When I retired, I made a long list of things I might do. One of them was; “What are you going to do about all those oil paints?” I hadn’t touched them for forty years! I pulled the boxes that I have been dragging about and went through the metal tubes of paint to see what was there. After throwing out the oozing and dried, I thought, OK, let’s give it a go. There is something very satisfying about painting with oil paints. Feels grown up. I began painting over found or older canvases and started constructing wooden “canvasses”.
